1. Launch Filmora: Open the Filmora software on your computer and create a new project.
2. Create a new project: Click on "New Project" or select "Create New Project" from the file menu to start a new project.
3. Import your video: Import the video for which you want to create a thumbnail into the Filmora project. You can do this by clicking on the "Import" button or by dragging and dropping the video file into the software interface.
4. Select a frame for the thumbnail: Scrub through the video timeline and find a visually appealing frame that represents your video content well. Pause the video on that frame.
5. Capture the thumbnail: Once you've found the desired frame, capture it by taking a screenshot. You can usually do this by pressing the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard or using a screenshot tool.
6. Edit the thumbnail: Open the screenshot of the frame in an image editing software, such as Photoshop, GIMP, or even Filmora itself. Crop the image to the recommended YouTube thumbnail size of 1280 x 720 pixels. Make sure the thumbnail is clear, visually appealing, and represents your video content accurately.
7. Add text and graphics: Using the image editing software, add text, graphics, and other elements to make your thumbnail more engaging. Include the title of your video and any other relevant information that might entice viewers to click.
8. Save the thumbnail: Once you're satisfied with the thumbnail, save it as an image file (e.g., JPG, PNG) in a location where you can easily access it.
9. Apply the thumbnail to your YouTube video: Log in to your YouTube account, go to the YouTube Studio, and find the video for which you want to upload the thumbnail. Click on "Custom Thumbnail" and upload the saved thumbnail image file.
10. Preview and publish: After uploading the thumbnail, preview it to ensure it looks good and accurately represents your video. If everything is as expected, save the changes and publish your video with the new thumbnail.
Remember, this is just a general guide, and the specific steps may vary depending on the software versions and personal preferences. Feel free to adapt the process to your needs and explore other resources like online tutorials or video guides for more detailed instructions.
